Enviromatic Systems has installed Reliable Controls in San Marcos ISD since 2014. The first project we performed was for a new Pre-Kindergarten School. Since then, Enviromatic Systems has earned the position of district standard and in the last 7 years, has retrofitted the existing energy management controls in all but one remaining school. We performed this work with EMA Engineers, San Marcos Air Conditioning, Seidel Construction, Aircraft Mechanical, International Mechanical Services, and Triad Mechanical.

The district’s primary goal with all these projects was to modernize to Web-based BACnet systems by Reliable Controls. This being a vast improvement from their previous out-of-date systems that had fallen into states of disrepair due to lack of support.

In the process of our installation we were able to properly train the SMCISD maintenance staff and energy management team to create some self-sufficiency and ultimately a superior long-term value. In the event they ever need us we are phone call away, but we always provide the technical programming and DDC configuration tools (RC Studio Software) that an end-user would need to replace any damaged control equipment or in the event they wanted a DIY in-house DDC control retrofit project to perform on their own.

Documentation is always a focus during the training and system handover to at a quick glance, the SMCISD HVAC technicians, energy management personnel, and other maintenance personnel can quickly identify parts, locations, system addresses, IDF room locations for the global ethernet based Reliable MachProCom controller, and all BACnet MS/TP communications wiring that connects all of the unitary MachProAir and MachProZone controllers.

San Marcos CISD is one of our very favorite and longest standing customers in Central Texas and we look forward to supporting them and working for them in many years to come. The anticipated life span for these recently installed Reliable Control Systems is at least 20 years.
