City of Grand Prairie, Multiple Locations

Enviromatic Systems started our journey with the City of Grand Prairie by servicing the existing Envision for BACtalk and Metasys building automation systems. This quickly grew into installing Reliable Controls system in not only new buildings but also updating existing buildings by replacing those older systems as they failed.

Enviromatic Systems was able to switch over the existing system to the Reliable Controls building automation system in live, occupied buildings with zero impact to the occupants. This “brain surgery” method is something we perform in numerous areas of Texas and in nearly every type of facility in occupied environments as people are utilizing the building.

Ray Riedinger, the Facility Services Manager of the City of Grand Prairie, has hired us to implement Reliable Controls BACnet building automation systems for the city in over sixty-five (65) buildings. These systems control various facilities – multiple libraries, multiple recreation centers, animal shelters, maintenance building offices, the Summit Senior Center, the city’s regional airport, multiple Fire Stations, 911 Call Center, and also City Hall. Our system also monitors the city building generators in order to ensure that the city’s backup systems are maintained and ready in case of an emergency. Critical power failure alarms are routed from our system to both text, email, and cell phone calls.

As our corporate office and training center is located in the heart of the City of Grand Prairie, it gives us great pride to be able to provide our building automation services where we “hang our hat”. It is also a nice bonus that we were able to help the city resolve their frustrations with their previous systems and move to more proactive long-term strategies to encourage sustainability, energy conservation, and preventative maintenance. The most rewarding part is saving the city so much money in accomplishing these things.
